OLD MOTHER'S ALTAR

Privacy Policy

The short version: Old Mother's Altar stores all of your data locally on your device. Nothing you enter is ever sent to a server, shared with third parties, or collected by us. Your practice is entirely private.

What Data We Collect

We collect no personal data. Old Mother's Altar does not have servers, accounts, or any mechanism to transmit information off your device.

All content you create in the app — including your profile name, spells, journal entries, cabinet inventory, and preferences — is stored exclusively in your device's local storage. It never leaves your device unless you choose to export it yourself using the app's built-in export feature.

Device Features We Use

The app optionally uses the following device capabilities, all of which require your explicit permission:

Face ID / Biometric Authentication — Used only to lock and unlock the app when you enable the passcode and biometric lock in Settings. Your biometric data is handled entirely by iOS and is never accessed or stored by the app.
Local Notifications — Used only to remind you of new spell tasks and celestial events when you enable notifications. All notification scheduling happens on-device. No notification content is sent to or processed by any server.

Third-Party Services

Old Mother's Altar does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data services. There are no SDKs in the app that collect or transmit data.

Data Sharing

We do not share your data with anyone — because we don't have it. Your data exists only on your device.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data persists on your device until you delete it. You can delete all app data at any time from within the app (Profile → Clear All Data), or by deleting the app from your device entirely.

Children's Privacy

This app is rated 4+ and is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Because all data is stored locally on your device and nothing is transmitted to us or any third party, no information — from users of any age — is ever collected, sold, or shared.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date above and note the change in the app's release notes.
